15-09-2022On September 15, 2022 afternoon, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the ceremony to announce Hung Thinh Group as the main sponsor of the International Friendly Football Tournament - Hung Thinh 2022 took place.

This is a tournament in the preparation plan of Vietnam Football Team towards AFF Cup 2022, which is highly appreciated by head coach Park Hang-seo for its professional quality with the participation of two guest teams, Singapore and India. The tournament will be held at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City from September 21 to September 27, 2022.
In order to help the team make the most of the opportunity to review and evaluate the force, the time to organize the international friendly football tournament - Hung Thinh 2022 chosen by VFF coincides with the schedule of international matches of FIFA (FIFA days). This will create favorable conditions for the coaching board to have the best selection of personnel to build the team's force.
Mr. Le Hoai Anh - General Secretary of the VFF said: "Regarding the guests, after discussing professional issues with head coach Park Hang-seo and through international relations, VFF sent the invitations and received the consent to participate in the tournament from Singapore and India. Notably, at recent ASEAN 2022 draw, Singapore Football Team is one of the four competitors in the same group with Vietnam. Therefore, competing against each other in the upcoming friendly tournament is also a good practice for both teams. In addition, VFF hopes that the presence of India - a strong team in South Asia - will help make the tournament become more colorful, competitive and dedicated, meeting the football experiencing needs of a large number of fans”.

To prepare for this tournament, Vietnam Football Team will gather on September 17, 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City. In the list of 31 summoned players as announced by VFF, in addition to the seasoned players who used to participate in the third qualifying round of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in the region for the first time in history. In Asia, head coach Park Hang-seo also gives opportunities to many promising young faces to create the depth of force towards other objectives in the future of Vietnam Football Team.
According to the plan, Singapore Football will be present in Vietnam on September 19, 2022. The team will move to Ho Chi Minh City on flight SQ178, scheduled to land at Tan Son Nhat airport at 10:55 am in the same day. Meanwhile, due to the opening match on September 24, the India team will go to Vietnam later and will be present in Ho Chi Minh City on September 22.
