HUNG THINH CORPORATION ENTERS TOP 10 SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISES IN VIETNAM 2020

On December 10, 2020, the Announcement Ceremony of Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam 2020 took place (CSI 2020) at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel. In the solemn atmosphere of the ceremony, Hung Thinh Corporation was honored to Top 10 Sustainable Enterprises 2020 - Commercial & Service Sector.

The ceremony was attended by Vice State President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, Government leaders, leadership representatives of ministries and branches and nearly 300 representatives from domestic and international organizations and the business community.

CSI program 2020 held by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) in collaboration with Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to encourage and praise enterprises for good implementation of sustainable development in 2020. Entering the 5th year of implementation, the program this year received the participation of more than 500 enterprises operating in sectors with different sizes and economic sectors.

Named in Top 10 sustainable enterprises in Vietnam 2020, Hung Thinh Corporation has fully met the rigorous selective criteria based on the Corporate Sustainability Index (CSI). This year, the CSI includes 127 indexes in four areas: Sustainable Development Performance Index, Governance Index, Environment Index and Labor Index. CSI 2020 has been studied and updated with many new points to suit the requirements of the important free trade agreements (FTAs) that Vietnam has recently signed (such as CPTPP - Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, EVFTA - European Union Vietnam Free Trade Agreement), as well as important changes in labor and environmental management policies have a major impact on business operation.

By providing information based on the CSI, enterprises can systemize corporate governance information including processes and methods of management, production, performance, and regulations and legal documents to be complied with, thereby a sustainable development strategy can be improved and promoted.

In 2020, although experiencing the general difficulties of the market due to effects of natural disasters, epidemic..., Hung Thinh Corporation has taken steps to turn the tables when finalizing the restructuring, renovation and completely constructing the ecosystem including: investing and developing types of real estate, construction, PropTech and Fintech technology, digital platform-based business ..., thereby adapting, making breakthrough and continuing to develop sustainably. Hung Thinh has also been actively cooperating strategically with many major partners in various fields to develop and expand business further.

In addition to strong achievements in business, Hung Thinh Corporation always focuses on building an ideal working environment for more than 3,000 employees. Hung Thinh is also one of the pioneering units to have supported the community with more than VND 600 billion for recent years. In particular, this year 2020, the Corporation spent nearly VND 45 billion to support the prevention and fighting against Covid-19, more than VND 10 billion to support people in the Central region affected by storms and floods, and tens of billion Vietnam dong for many other meaningful social activities.

Achieving high ranking in the 2020 rankings clearly reflects the efforts of Hung Thinh Corporation in joining hands with the business community to promote sustainable development in Vietnam.

At the announcement ceremony, Mr. Vu Tien Loc - Chairman of VCCI said: “Enterprises that have been applying CSI should join hands with us to spread the Index to the partners, thereby forming a sustainable supply network and chain. Because "if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together", the strength of an enterprise not only comes from within itself, but also built up from a strong network of the whole business community. That is the important principle of "chopsticks", unite to overcome all challenges, especially in this new normal period".
