On November 30 afternoon, at Phu Tho Diving Club, Hung Thinh Corporation cooperated with the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City to award 500 swimming training portions with total value of VND 125 million to poor children at HCMC. This activity is in the framework of the Ceremony of Mobilizing the entire population to practice swimming to prevent from drowning in 2020, Summary of the Program of Safe Swimming, Drowning Prevention and Fighting for 2016 – 2020 period and HCMC Student Swimming Contest in 2020 - 2021 school year.
Mr. Huynh Van Lap, representative of Hung Thinh Corporation, awarded 500 swimming training portions with total value of VND 125 million to the representative of Ho Chi Minh aquarium sports Federation.
The program of mobilization, summary and competition of the contest organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City aims to propagate the benefits of swimming practice, equip essential knowledge about swimming, help children avoid the risks, at the same time, to mobilize the entire population to actively practice swimming in order to improve their health, fitness and prevent from diseases, thereby, promoting the roles and responsibilities of all levels, sectors, families, schools and the whole society in developing swimming movements and work of mitigating the drowning. From which, talented and qualified individuals are soon found out to create a source of athletes to participate in future tournaments.
Representative of Hung Thinh Corporation, Mr. Huynh Van Lap, shared: “I hope these free swimming lessons will be a meaningful gift for children in difficult circumstances. This is also a practical activity, helping to universalize swimming and raising awareness for children, minimizing the child mortality rate in the water environment ”.
Through the program, Hung Thinh Corporation wishes to be able to partially contribute to bringing conditions to improve life skills as well as creating a healthy playground for hundreds of poor children in Ho Chi Minh City.
