THE PROJECT OF BRINGING QUY NHON INTO ASIA'S LEADING DESTINATION HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN KICKED OFF

On March 14, 2022, the People's Committee of Quy Nhon city, Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and Hung Thinh Corporation have officially launched a tourism development project that promotes Quy Nhon to become a leading destination in Asia by 2030.

 
This is an activity following the strategic cooperation signing event "Quy Nhon Tourism - Asian vision" which took place in January 2022. Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Quy Nhon city, BCG Consulting Group and Hung Thinh Corporation cooperated to build a Quy Nhon tourism development project that focuses on planning a comprehensive, sustainable and safe tourism strategy with different values.
 

Mr. Ngo Hoang Nam - Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quy Nhon city affirmed: The key Quy Nhon city tourism development project is the basis for orientation and best exploitation of the city's tourism potential, at the same time mobilize resources, attract investment, promote tourism, step by step build the tourism brand of Quy Nhon coastal city in the hearts of domestic and international tourists.

 
Mr. Ngo Hoang Nam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quy Nhon City believes: Enterprises will accompany Quy Nhon city to promote sustainable development commensurately with its potential, reaching out to Asia.
 

“This is a very necessary project, making an important contribution to the implementation of the tourism development strategy of Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh in the immediate as well as in the long term. Quy Nhon strives to welcome over 7.2 million tourists, including 1.8 million international visitors, tourism revenue reaches over 13,000 billion VND by 2025" - Mr. Nam said.

In order to realize this vision, Mr. IL-Dong Kwon – Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Partnership, General Director of BCG Vietnam emphasized: BCG has used the top world staff in addition to the domestic dedicated staff to implement the project.

Estimated time to implement the project is 16 weeks and the project goes through 2 phases, including: Assessment of actual situation of the tourism industry in Quy Nhon City with its strengths and weaknesses and development of a detailed master plan with a tourism strategy manual and a specific implementation roadmap.
 

BCG Group has conducted initial surveys and assessed: Sea tourism is Quy Nhon's core tourism property. The capital city of Binh Dinh possesses 72km of beautiful coastline, with many beaches on par with Asia's most famous destinations.
 

Quy Nhon also owns many other natural assets that can be developed and widely promoted such as: Hai Giang peninsula, Phuong Mai sand dune, Cu Lao Xanh island, Hon Seo island, Hon Kho island, Ba Hoa mountain, Thi Nai lagoon, Mui Rong, Giang Tien Waterfall,...

 
Quy Nhon has full potential to become a world famous tourist destination.
 

“Quy Nhon has too many opportunities for development like Singapore and Hong Kong – the countries also started from a deep-sea port, tourism and resort real estate. Especially after the Covid-19 pandemic, the demands for sea and nature tourism of global tourists highly increase. Tourists all yearn to visit dream destinations with attractive natural scenery. Quy Nhon beach paradise will be Asia's top destination in the near future," Mr. IL-Dong Kwon emphasized.
 

Mr. Truong Van Viet - Vice Chairman and Deputy General Director of Hung Thinh Corporation added: Quy Nhon's Asian vision has a solid basis to soon be realized. Because, Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh is currently one of the leading localities, a bright spot in socio-economic growth of the central key economic region.
 

Binh Dinh is also a locality with a record budget revenue in 2021, the rate of infrastructure investment surpassed major cities that have developed strongly in tourism. The infrastructure system is increasingly improved with a large seaport system that is rich in development potential and Phu Cat airport that is expected to soon be upgraded to an international airport.
