22-01-2022Following the journey of joining hands with the community, and especially the medical team, on January 21, 2022 afternoon, Hung Thinh Corporation held the ceremony of inauguration and handover of the construction works to serve anti-Covid-19 pandemic to Thong Nhat Hospital.

Since the occurrence of Covid-19 pandemic and complicated developments in Ho Chi Minh City, in addition to testing and caring for patients infected with Covid-19, Thong Nhat Hospital is the leading unit of the medical industry of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health in implementing vaccination for people. However, in the face of the widespread pandemic, the material facilities at the hospital's emergency, Covid-19 vaccination and testing areas are more or less unable to meet the overwhelming demand of the people.

With the spirit of long-term and effective companionship against Covid-19 pandemic, Hung Thinh Corporation and two member units, Hung Thinh Land and Hung Thinh Incons, discussed and worked with Thong Nhat Hospital and expressed intention on supporting the construction and renovation of a number of areas of the hospital to serve anti-Covid-19 work, including: emergency buffer area, vaccination area and microbiological area.

Accordingly, the work was commenced in September 2021, so far three above areas have been completed and spacious. Specifically, the emergency buffer area will receive emergency patients, serve as a buffer area to isolate patients infected with Covid-19 before being transferred to a functional hospital. The vaccination area was scientifically and logically built based on the current Covid-19 vaccination process, including: reception counter, waiting room, screening examination room, injection area, emergency area and post-injection waiting area. The hospital's Microbiological area has also been upgraded for PCR testing, sampling, sample preservation and has a separate working area for medical staff to perform microbiological testing.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Md Le Dinh Thanh, Director of Thong Nhat Hospital said: “In the past, we knew that Hung Thinh was a major corporation, contributing to socio-economic development and is also one of the pioneering units in social activities. When the pandemic happened, we saw Hung Thinh from a new perspective, a corporation that joined hands with the whole country in fighting the pandemic on all fronts, providing financial support, supplies, equipment, especially the affection of the Board of Directors, staff of Hung Thinh Corporation towards the medical force participating in anti-pandemic".
“For Hung Thinh, we received a sincere affection and practical action, the Corporation supported and presented ambulances, provided funds for research on therapeutic drugs and especially inaugurated works today. After being built, the vaccination area is spacious, in accordance with modern one-way vaccination standards. The hospital is about to have a Department of Microbiology with the infrastructure towards ISO standards. More emotionally, Hung Thinh deployed the construction very quickly, in just a short time. With the above support, Hung Thinh Corporation not only provides material motivation but also a precious dose of mental doping, helping the medical team to overcome difficulties during this period”, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Md Le Dinh Thanh shared further.

Also at the ceremony, Hung Thinh's representative, Mr. Le Hong Viet - Vice Chairman of the Corporation shared about this meaningful activity: "We understand that, joining hands with the medical force to take care of people's health, repelling the pandemic so that the whole society returns to a new normal lies not only in solving urgent tasks but also in building sustainable and long-term works. After discussing with the Board of Directors of Thong Nhat Hospital, Hung Thinh finds that renovating and building material facilities in the vaccination area, emergency area and microbiological area is necessary. With these new projects, we hope that Thong Nhat Hospital will take over, receive and have more motivation and material facilities to take care for the health of people in Ho Chi Minh City in the long term”.
In addition to funding the renovation and construction of works to serve the anti-Covid-19 pandemic, before that, Hung Thinh also accompanied Thong Nhat Hospital in many activities, such as giving VND 1 billion for Covid-19 drug research program of Thong Nhat Hospital. Hung Thinh Land (a member of Hung Thinh Corporation) also contributed funds with other units to donate ambulances to Thong Nhat Hospital through the program "Saigon loves each other".

When the pandemic was still complicated, Hung Thinh Corporation implemented and maintained many specific programs to support medical staff and people in difficulty. Since 2020, Hung Thinh Corporation has contributed more than VND 200 billion to the work of supporting the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic with the common objective of accompanying the country in adapting to a new normal life.
