PROF. NGO BAO CHAU COMES TO VISIT AND WORK WITH HUNG THINH CORPORATION

Prof. Ngo Bao Chau and the working delegation of the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (VIASM) came to visit and work with Hung Thinh Corporation at MerryLand Quy Nhon on April 2.

Two sides discussed the development orientation of science, technology and education activities in Quy Nhon and more importantly, the training and fostering of the young generation with culture, knowledge and great aspirations to turn Vietnam into a powerful nation.

VIASM's working trip to Quy Nhon is one of the activities to support and develop the research and education of Mathematics and Science in Quy Nhon in particular and Central region - Central Highlands in general.

According to Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, Quy Nhon has very favorable conditions for the development of scientific research, especially mathematics, application of mathematics and basic scientific research in general. Along with Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam National University - Hanoi, Quy Nhon University is one of three strong national math training and research centers that are supported by the National Key Program in Mathematics Development for 2021-2030 period to become a strong Mathematical center of the region. Here, a scientific - technological research complex has also been developed at the The International Centre for Interdisciplinary Science and Education - ICISE, the Center for Scientific Discovery and centers for R&D (research - development) of enterprises.

After the Vietnam Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics in Hanoi is put into stable operation, the Professor's personal aspiration is to develop a progressive model of training and research institutions in order to create a favorable environment for developing and nurturing the passion for Mathematics and science.

This idea received the support of Hung Thinh Corporation. The meeting between the working delegation of Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, VIASM and the Corporation’s Chairman Nguyen Dinh Trung took place at MerryLand Quy Nhon.

It is expected that in the near future, Prof. Ngo Bao Chau, VIASM and Hung Thinh Corporation together with the authorities, institutes and schools in Quy Nhon will soon implement extensive cooperation to realize the vision of turning Quy Nhon into an international center of science and education. 

With the determination of the local authorities, Quy Nhon is gathering the synergistic resources of major enterprises such as Hung Thinh Corporation, FPT, TMA Corporation... and the participation of leading experts and scientists in domestical and international scope. The coastal city not only possesses the potential to become a leading tourist destination in Asia, but also is expected to become a center of science, research and application development of Vietnam and the region.
