After several years of accompanying the professional tennis tournaments held by Vietnam Tennis Federation, this year, Hung Thinh Corp has become the major sponsor of the International Tennis Tournament "Hung Thinh Vietnam Open 2017" with the total funding up to VND 2 billion. The tournament took place from October 21st to October 29th, 2017 at Lan Anh Club - Ho Chi Minh City.
Hung Thinh Vietnam Open 2017 is the ATP Challenger tennis tournament. This year, the tournament has raised the ATP ranking points from 80 to 90 and $50,000 in prize money for the winners. The competition has lured athletes with top world rankings, including former world No. 8 Mikhail Youzny from Russia, two former world U18 No. 1 champions, Yuki Bhambri of India and Max Purcell from Australia, as well as 2015 champion Saketh Myneni from India. The reunion of the pair winning the Young Wimbledon trophy in 2015 - Ly Hoang Nam (Vietnam) and Sumit Nagal (India) promises to bring a thrilling competition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Pham Khac Khoan – Deputy General Director of Hung Thinh Corp said: "Hung Thinh Vietnam Open 2017 is a prestigious tennis tournament in Vietnam for athletes as well as spectators, attracting many top tennis players in the country and internationally.
