The ceremony of receiving the donation to Covid-19 drug research program of Thong Nhat Hospital was attended by Assoc. Prof. PhD. Dr. Le Dinh Thanh, Director of the hospital; PhD. Dr. Vo Thanh Toan, Deputy Director of the hospital. On the side of Hung Thinh Corporation, the ceremony was attended by Mr. Truong Van Viet, Vice Chairman cum Deputy General Director of the Corporation; Mr. Le Hong Viet, Vice Chairman cum Deputy General Director of the Corporation and Mr. Huynh Thanh Tu, Deputy General Director of Hung Thinh Incons.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. PhD. Dr. Le Dinh Thanh, Director of Thong Nhat Hospital shared: “The Covid-19 drug research program of Thong Nhat Hospital is a research project to help promote emergency measures, improve efficiency in treatment and support recovery for patients infected with Covid-19, contribute to preventing from the spread of the epidemic. Our hospital today receives a gift of great material and spiritual significance from Hung Thinh Corporation. With this funding, we will have more resources to research and quickly bring positive results to help improve treatment regimens for Covid-19 patients.”

Thong Nhat Hospital is one of two hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City assigned by the Ministry of Health to research, test and evaluate at medical facilities the drug named Molnupiravir - one of the antiviral drugs that helps quickly reduce the virus concentration in the body of infected people. This is a product researched and developed by two pharmaceutical companies Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics of the US. The drug has been clinically tested at Thong Nhat Hospital and showed positive results.
Immediately after the ceremony, two Parties visited the campus of Thong Nhat Hospital and discussed about accompanying each other in many fields in the near future.
