Hung Thinh Corporation has contributed VND 10 billion to the one-million meal program, continuing to accompany disadvantaged people in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
While Ho Chi Minh City continues to implement social isolation, hundreds of thousands of people find themselves in an increasingly difficult situation when they lose their jobs, their incomes and their standard of living is not guaranteed. During the fourth Covid-19 wave, Hung Thinh Corporation decided to accompany the program "Vietnam - Saigon Arm" to bring one million meals for the poor in Ho Chi Minh City.
This information was shared at the launching ceremony of the social welfare program "Vietnam - Saigon Arm" which took place on the afternoon of August 16th at the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City. The program was implemented by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and companies under the two voluntary organizations "Vietnam Arm" and "Saigon Love".
Accordingly, from now until mid-September, the program is expected to bring one million meals for disadvantaged people including poor households in more than 4,000 isolated zones in Ho Chi Minh City, workers who lost their jobs and incomes due to social distancing. The meals are presented in two forms, including essentials and ready-made meals for those who cannot cook.

With an estimated budget of VND 25 billion, the program has the participation of individuals and companies, in which Hung Thinh Corporation has contributed VND 10 billion to cooperate with the program to quickly, promptly and effectively support the community.
Ms. To Thi Bich Chau - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Welfare Center affirmed that the program which was started right after the Center was established is a valuable gift for the community.
"A million meals are a million gifts, 'a million hearts' of love and care. We will deliver to specific places - where people are in need of support so that relief activities do not overlap and no one is left behind," stressed Ms. To Thi Bich Chau.

Hung Thinh Corporation has been implementing a series of activities to accompany employees, customers and people at the frontline against the pandemic, at both central and local levels, along with the community - the society in the "war" against Covid-19. Since the pandemic broke out in Vietnam at the beginning of 2020, the group has contributed nearly VND 190 billion to support the frontline against the pandemic and support disadvantaged people to somewhat stabilize their lives.

In which, the city expects to support 344,000 freelance workers, 90,000 poor and near-poor households and 170,000 workers in difficulty.
In the midst of the prolonged "war" against Covid-19, the gifts of essentials and meals from the program will be delivered to disadvantaged people in order to support them with material and non-material resources, helping the community overcome difficulties and effectively repel the pandemic./.
