Vietnam men’s football team receives vnd 2.5 billion from Hung Thinh Corp ahead of qualifying round of U23 Asian cup

On March 14 afternoon, at head office of FPT Online, Hung Thinh Corp held a meeting and awarded cash worthing VND 2.5 billion to the Vietnam men’s football team. In particular, the reward of VND 2 billion for the team and VND 500 million for coach Park Hang Seo alone.

That was the award that was announced by Hung Thinh Corp. at the Asian Cup in January, when Vietnam won Jordan to enter the quarterfinals. For many reasons such as Tet holiday schedule, the gathering schedule of players, now the sponsor has the opportunity to organize the awarding.

Hung Thinh has been one of the prominent sponsors of Vietnam football for recent years. Last year alone, the company spent VND 7 billion, including VND 5 billion for the Federation and VND 2 billion for U23 Vietnam football team in early 2018.

The Vice President said football and sports in general are always activities that enterprises pay attention to and regularly organize tournaments. He said that the achievements of the men's football team for the past time had brought a new wind into the sports spirit of Vietnamese people. More and more people are interested in playing football and practicing sports. Besides, there are also many enterprises such as Hung Thinh Corp. who has spent part of their budget on rewarding and motivating players.

"With the current resilience, Vietnam will firmly win high ranking in the upcoming U23 Asian Cup qualifier and at the SEA Games at the end of this year," he predicted.

U23 Asian Cup qualifier will take place from March 22 to 26 of March. Vietnam is the host of Group K and will meet rivals Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei. SEA Games 2019 (30th time) will take place in the Philippines, from November 30 to December 11.
